The applicant is convicted for offences punishable under Section 376(2)(i) of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and he is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 14 years and 10 years respectively.

In that view of the matter, the criminal application is allowed. The delay in preferring the appeal is hereby condoned.
