In short, it is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the land of the petitioners is not acquired, the possession has been taken and the compensation has not been paid/granted. In order to buttress his submission, he has invited our attention to page 87, which is a communication issued by the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records to the petitioners, Annexure D to the petition, and submits that his grievance would be redressed if the authorities are directed to decide the issue regarding acquisition of land and grant of compensation.

Be that as it may, since the issue in question can very well be decided by the respondents authorities, we direct the respondent no.1. to treat the present writ petition as representation and decide the same considering the communication which is produced at page 87 of the petition, within a period of ten weeks from today. 4.
The learned counsel for the petitioners undertakes to furnish the copy of the present writ petition as well as the copy of the order passed today to the concerned authority within a period of two weeks.

Decision taken be communicated to the petitioners with a period of two weeks thereafter.

With these observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
