JANUARY 5, 2026 After having heard for some time, we have indicated to the petitioner that he has an alternate and equally efficacious remedy under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short "the Code"), (Section 175(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS)), as regards his grievance of not taking action in terms of Section 154 of the Code (Section 173 of the BNSS).

2] So far as relief of compensation is concerned, we grant liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate proceeding before appropriate Court. If such proceeding is filed, it shall be considered on its own merits.

3] With the liberty as aforementioned, the petition is disposed of.
