Though the petition seeks quashing of order dated 03.11.2025 passed by the respondent no.2-Sub-Divisional Officer, Akot rejecting the application for issuance of caste certificate, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that against the order passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, the petitioner has already preferred an appeal before the respondent no.1.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader submitted that the appeal is provided under the Maharashtra Scheduled Tribes (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Certificate Rules, 2003 against the rejection of issuance of caste certificate and the said appeal filed by the petitioner is pending before the respondent no.1.

Having considered the submissions, we are of the opinion that the petition can be disposed of by directing the respondent
904 wp7520.25.odt no.1 to decide the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner within two weeks from today.

Needless to mention that, the contentions raised in this petition can be agitated before the respondent no.1-Committee and the respondent no.1 - Committee after considering all contentions, pass appropriate order, in accordance with law. With this, the petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
