For the reasons stated in the application, the applicant is permitted to amend the Criminal Application No. 640/2018.

Criminal Application is allowed accordingly.

Criminal Application (APL) No. 640 of 2018.

On a report given by non-applicant No.2 - a lady officer, First Information Report for the offences punishable under Sections 354(a)(4) and 500 of the Indian Penal Code is registered against the applicant.

With the assistance of the learned Advocate for the applicant and the learned Additional

25APPP 2144.18 Public Prosecutor, we have gone through the report and the pamphlet distributed by the applicant in which, according to non-applicant No.2 - the informant, defamatory accusations were made against her.

Considering the nature of accusations against the applicant and the prima-facie material on record, we are of the view that this is not a case, fit to exercise jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing the F.I.R.

Hence, the Criminal Application is dismissed.
