CORAM : A. S. CHANDURKAR AND G.A. SANAP , JJ.

ATED : 11 TH AUGUST , 2021 .

It is the grievance of the petitioners that the directions issued in Writ Petition No.432 of 2016 on 15.07.2016 directing Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon to release the salary of the petitioners from May-2013 to June-2013 have not been complied. After the notice was issued in the present proceedings, affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent no.3 in which it is stated that for the aforesaid period amount of Rs.51,600/- towards salary for each month has been paid to the petitioners.

By filing affidavit, the petitioners have placed on record the salary slip pertaining to employees from Zilla Parishad, Jalna in which it is indicated that those employees have received monthly salary of Rs.53,400/- for the said period. It is submitted that since there is a difference in the amount of monthly salary the present proceedings be kept pending.

We find that the directions issued in the writ petition have been substantially complied with. In case according to the petitioners there is some shortfall in the amount of monthly salary as compared with employees of other Zilla Parishad, they are free to take such steps with Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon for redressal of their grievance.

The contempt petition is accordingly disposed of. (G.A. SANAP, J.) (A. S. CHANDURKAR, J.) APTE
