By the interim order passed on 24th November 2018 this Court stayed the recovery of the amount of interest on the amount of licence fees for the period from 2012 to 2018. This interim order was passed on condition that the petitioner deposits an amount of Rs.6,20,000/- with the Registry of this Court till 21st December 2018. By this civil application filed on 20th December 2018, the petitioner seeks permission to deposit Rs.5,00,000/- and seeks time till March 2019 to deposit the balance amount.

The explanation given by the petitioner in the civil application cannot be accepted. Hence, the civil application is rejected.

The interim order granted on 24th November 2018 is vacated. The respondent authorities may proceed for recovery of the amount from the petitioner.
