Petitioner seeks relief to quash the advertisement/notification dated 15th June, 2017, issued by the respondent No.2, for want of 3% reservation for handicap category.

Respondents have filed their submissions.

It is not in dispute that the subject advertisement dated 15th June, 2017, was issued in terms of the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961. In terms of the said advertisement, Apprentice, in the Grade of Electrician, were selected and posted as per the select list dated 3rd July, 2017. The period of training was for one year, which had expired on 5th July, 2018. The subject petition was filed in December, 2018. As such, petitioner has approached this Court six months after expiry of training

22.WP.3828.2019 programme. Thus, petition deserves no consideration, on the ground of unexplained delay and latches. Hence, the petition is dismissed.
