This is an application for confirmation of a Decree Absolute dated 21.11.2018 passed by the Family Court at South West Divorce Unit, U. K. in case no.RS18D04517.

2. That was a case filed by the respondent-wife against the applicant-husband for dissolution of marriage on the ground of ill treatment and irretrievably broken down of marriage. The Family Court by the Decree dated 21.11.2018 has granted a Decree of Divorce on both these grounds out of which atleast the ground of matrimonial cruelty is available as a ground for dissolution of marriage as per the Family Laws in Goa.

3. The respondent who applied for the dissolution has obviously no objection for the grant of the application.

4. In the result, the application is allowed in terms of prayer clauses (a) and (b) which read thus :

"(a) The Decree Absolute dated 21st November 2018 passed by the Family Court sitting at at South West Divorce Unit, U.K. in case RS18D04517, dissolving the marriage between the Applicant and the Respondent be confirmed producing all its legal effects in India.

(b) The Sub Registrar of Tiswadi, at Panaji be directed to cancel the registration of the marriage of the Applicant and Respondent registered at his office under entry No.644/2011." C. V. BHADANG, J.
