IN THE HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY AT GOA
WRIT PETITION NO. 14 OF 2015 M/S. DRISHTI LIFESAVING PVT. LTD.
THROUGH ITS DIRECTOR MR. ANTONIO MOISES MENEZES.
... Petitioner
Versus
STATE OF GOA THROUGH ITS CHIEF SECRETARY AND 3 ORS.
... Respondent Mr. Shashikant Narayan Joshi, Advocate for the Petitioner. Mr. S. Rebello, Addl. Government Advocate for Respondents no.1 to 3.
Mr.Suhas Naik, Advocate for Respondent no. 4. Coram:- F. M. REIS & K. L. WADANE, JJ.
Date:- 8th January, 2015 P.C.:
Heard Shri S.N. Joshi, learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri S, Rebello, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents no. 1 to 3 and Mr. Suhas Naik, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.4.
2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties, the main grievance of the petitioner is that the conciliation proceedings are not been presided by the Labour Commissioner. But, however, the learned Additional Government Advocate has brought to our notice the copy of the minutes to disclose that in fact the meetings are presided by the Labour Commissioner.
WP/14/2015
3. The learned Additional Government Advocate, upon instructions, further points out that all the meetings/conciliations proceedings shall henceforth be presided by the Labour Commissioner.
4. In such circumstances, accepting the said statement of the learned Additional Government Advocate, we find that the grievance of the petitioner on that count does not survive at present. The petition stands disposed of by accepting the said statement of the learned Additional Government Advocate.
