Mr Thali, learned Counsel for the petitioner, based on instructions from the petitioner, states that the petitioner will now make a fresh application for compounding within a week from today to the RBI.

Mr Panandiker, learned Counsel for the RBI, on instructions, states that if such an application is made, the RBI will dispose of the same in accord with law within four weeks from the date of its receipt. He states that an opportunity of hearing, if necessary, will be granted to the petitioner.
