In continuation of the order dated 09.09.2025, passed in Misc. Civil Application taken out by respondent no.9, seeking disposal of the PIL Writ Petition on the ground that it has been rendered infructuous as the petition revolved around the project for the sub-station being constructed in Sangod Village and this proposal having been abandoned, the petitioner/the applicant had even surrendered land to the Government and the sub-station is being constructed on some other site. In the wake of the request to dispose of the PIL proceedings, Ms Alvares has tendered an affidavit filed by the petitioner and she would fairly submit that the petitioner has no objection in disposing of the petition as she agrees that the same has been rendered infructuous. The affidavit is taken on record. She would only like to invite our attention to the statement made in the application, where the applicant has categorically stated thus:

Even as per the applicant, for the purpose of undertaking construction of the sub-station, the technical clearance was granted by the TCP department and even the construction licence was issued but since now the project has been abandoned, the PIL petition, according to us, must come to an end.

In the wake of the aforesaid, Misc. Civil Application No.2283/2025(F) is allowed and the PIL Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous.
