1. The learned Advocate General has instructions to make a statement that the process for selection of the Director of Accounts, Government of Goa, is complete and the name of petitioner no. 1 is recommended to occupy the said post by the Goa Public Service Commission.

He also makes a categorical statement that the recommendation is also accepted by the Government of Goa, and the appointment order shall be issued at the earliest.

2. Accepting the aforesaid statement, we expect the Government to issue an appointment order in favour of the petitioner within a period of four weeks.

3. In the wake of the aforesaid developments in the proceedings, the counsel seek permission to withdraw the petition, and the same stands disposed of.
