This is an application for suspension of sentence pending the Revision Application of the applicant. The applicant has been convicted by the learned JMFC, Mapusa by sentencing him to undergo simple imprisonment for two years and to pay compensation of Rs.31,872/- alongwith interest. Learned Magistrate in the impugned judgment and order inter alia allowed to deduct Rs.4000/- from the amount of compensation paid by the applicant to the complainant on 29.11.2016. An appeal preferred by the applicant before the Additional Sessions Judge Mapusa also came to be dismissed on 4.1.2018 against

CRMA/4/2018 which present Criminal Revision Application has been preferred.

2. Heard Mr. S. Shet, learned Counsel appearing for the applicant. He submits that applicant has already deposited the entire amount of compensation. That being so, it is needless to keep the applicant behind the bars. The execution of sentence is suspended pending the decision of the Revision Application and the applicant be released on bail on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Registrar(Judicial) of this Court. The applicant shall attend this Court as and when directed.
