Heard Shri Devidas J. Pangam, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners and Ms. P. Sawant, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. This is a contempt petition contending that the directions issued by this Court to release the water connection to the residential premises of the petitioners vide Judgment dated 22.9.2016 have not been complied with.

3. The learned Addl. Govt. Advocate points out that action could not be taken in terms of the said Judgment as a tender had to be floated to release the water connection to the petitioners. CP/5/2017 instructions from Mr. Rumil Baretto, Executive Engineer, Works Div. 24, who is present in Court has stated that the water connection would be released to the petitioners positively on or before 31.5.2017 complete in all respect.

4. Hence, the above petition stands disposed off, accepting the said statement of the learned Addl. Govt. Advocate upon instructions of the said Executive Engineer and as such, the respondents are directed to release the water supply to the residential premises of the petitioners in terms of the said Judgment of this court on or before 31.5.2017.
