Mr Shivan Desai seeks leave to implead the Director of Fisheries as Respondent No.6. He says that the Director would be the proper authority to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2023. Leave is granted. Amendment to be carried out forthwith. 2.

Heard Mr Shivan Desai who appears along with Ms Tahira Menezes for the Petitioner. Learned Advocate General appears along with Ms Bhat, learned Additional Government Advocate, for the Respondents. 3.

Mr Desai, on instructions, states that the Petitioner, for the present, 29th January 2024

20 WP-96-2024.DOC will be satisfied if a direction is given to the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2023 in the context of calculation of gratuity payments. Learned Advocate General states that the Director of Fisheries (R-6) will consider and dispose of the Petitioner's representation as expeditiously as possible and communicate the decision thereof to the Petitioner.
