Date:- 27th January, 2020 ORAL ORDER (Per M.S. Sonak, J.) Learned counsel for the parties state that there is no difficulty for this Bench to take up this petition.

2. Heard Mr. Lawande for the petitioners and Mr. D. Pangam, the learned Advocate General along with Mr. Shetye, learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. Mr. D. Pangam, the learned Advocate General points out that the entire petition proceeds on the basis that the petitioners' properties were identified as private forest in the Sawant Committee and Karapurkar Committee reports. He however

WP/51/2020 submits that the petitioners' properties were identified as private forest by the Thomas Committee report.

4. Learned Advocate General places on record Notification dated 21.01.2020, in terms of which, a committee has been constituted to review the private forest area provisionally identified by the Thomas Committee and the Araujo Committee which were constituted sometime in the year 2012.

5. Mr. Lawande, on the basis of instructions submits that the petitioners will file their objections/representations before this newly constituted review committee. He submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioners to agitate the issue raised in this petition, in case, the grievance of the petitioners, is not redressed by the review committee.

6. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed for by the petitioners. It is made clear that this Court has not adverted to the merits or demerits and therefore, all contentions of all parties are kept open.
