Union Of India, Rep. By The Secretary And Anr., ... Respondents Mr. Shivraj Gaonkar, Advocate for the Petitioner. Mr. M. Bandodkar, Advocate for Respondent no. 2. Coram : N.M. Jamdar & Prithviraj K. Chavan, JJ.
Date : 6 March 2018 P. C.
The matter has been adjourned from time to time. We have heard the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the parties on various occasions.

2 wp-147-2017 dt 06-03-18 Settlement will now take place. Learned Counsel for Respondent no. 2 submitted that it will be open to the Petitioner to participate in the negotiations for finalising of new Settlement. This matter was kept today for learned Counsel for the Petitioners to take instructions. He submitted that the Petitioners are ready to accept this offer of the Respondent no. 2.
3.
If the suggestions made by the Petitioners are accepted and incorporated in the new Settlement, then, obviously, the Petitioners will have no grievance left. We do not, therefore, deem it necessary to adjudicate on the rival contentions advanced by the learned Counsel for the Petitioners on legal issues and regarding locus of the Petitioners, at this stage. It is obvious that if the Petitioner is not successful in its endeavour, the Petitioner, like any other litigant, will have its remedy open in law. 4.
Learned Counsel for the Petitioner having been satisfied with the above position seeks leave to withdraw the Writ Petition, which is disposed of as withdrawn.
