Considering the reasons set out in the Misc. Civil Application, we extend the time for disposal of the appeals by six months. However, we accept the statement of Mr Faldessai that the Appellate Authority will make every effort to dispose of the appeals even earlier. 3.

We clarify that unless there are exceptional circumstances, no applications for further extension would be entertained. This is because till date, it appears that not a single appeal has been disposed of. 13th March 2024
