Heard Mr. D'Costa, learned Senior Advocate who appears along with Ms. K. Betquecar for the Petitioners and Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General who appears along with Mr. Deep Shirodkar, learned Additional Government Advocate for the Respondents-State. 2.

The learned Advocate General makes a statement that the Land Acquisition Officer/Deputy Collector at Ponda in Case No.2-22011/LAND, will act on Petitioner's application dated 11.06.2014 to 6th September 2022

8 WP-197-2021.doc make a reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 to the District Court within one month from today. 3.

We accept the statement of the learned Advocate General and direct the concerned Land Acquisition Officer/Deputy Collector to act accordingly.

Once the reference is made, it will be open to the Petitioner to apply to the reference Court for taking up this reference along with Land Acquisition Case No.1/2016 now stated to be pending before the District Judge-2, Panaji sitting at Ponda. If such application is made, we are sure that the same will be considered in accord with law and on its own merits. 5.

The above position addresses the two substantive reliefs sought for by the Petitioners in this petition.

Accordingly, this petition is disposed of. There shall be no order for costs.
