Heard Mr Kulkarni, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr Munj, learned Additional Government Advocate for Respondent No.1.

2. For the order that we propose to make, notice to the second Respondent is not necessary.

3. The Panchayat directed the second Respondent to cut two trees which allegedly pose danger to the Petitioner's house and like.

4. The second Respondent has instituted the proceedings before 12th March, 2024

WP 211 of 2024 the Additional Director of Panchayats i.e. Panchayat Appeal bearing No.154/2020. This appeal was dismissed for non-prosecution and the second Respondent has filed an application for restoration.

5. Mr Kulkarni on instructions states that the Panchayat appeal may be restored but the same should be disposed of expeditiously within a time-bound schedule. This approach is quite fair.

6. Accordingly, the Panchayat Appeal No.154/2020 is hereby restored to the file and Mr Munj, learned Additional Government Advocate states that the Additional Director of Panchayats will dispose of the Panchayat appeal on merits as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within two months from today.

7. By recording the above, we dispose of this petition. The Additional Director of Panchayats, consistent with the statement now made by the learned Additional Government Advocate must dispose of the appeal within two months from today.
