Heard learned Counsel for the appearing parties. 2.

There is no dispute on factual aspect that the Petitioner had been working as a Peon at the Village Panchayat of Gaondongrim, Canacona, and retired from services on superannuation on 31.07.2014 and retirement benefits, however, were released in 2018, i.e. four years later by the PanchayatRespondent no.4. Even thereafter, there had been no regular monthly payment of pensionary benefits and, as such, the Petition has been moved before the Court.

After hearing the learned Counsel, it transpires that as of now, the grievance of the Petitioner to a large extent has been redressed. The Petitioner is being paid monthly pension till date.. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the Petition as its substantial purpose gets worked out. 5.

We expect that the Respondents would continue to pay retiral benefits, according to Rules.
