By this petition, the Petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus to direct the Authorities to initiate proceedings against the Respondent No.9 in respect of the construction put up by the Respondent No.9. Subsequent to the issuance of Rule, the Authorities have taken action. The learned Additional Government Advocate places on record an order dated 4 July 2014 passed by the Deputy Collector, Mapusa, indicating that the action was initiated and certain orders have been passed. Since the grievance made by the Petitioner

Amrut 2 WP155-09dt 31-08-2018 was only limited to the inaction of the Respondents-Authorities and now that action has been initiated and order has been passed, nothing further survives in this petition which position is also accepted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner. The writ petition is therefore become infructuous.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the controversy before us and neither in respect of the order passed by the Deputy Collector.
