Shri Sardessai, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the petition, with a further request to expedite the application for condonation of delay, which is pending before the learned Additional Director of Panchayat, since the year 2017.

2. In such circumstances, the petition is disposed of as withdrawn. The learned Additional Director of Panchayat shall decide the application (and eventually the appeal, in the event, the delay is condoned), within a period of six months from the receipt hereof. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the application for condonation of delay or on the merits of the main appeal.
