Heard Shri D. Dhond, learned Advocate for the applicant for a considerable length of time and Shri S.R. Rivankar, learned Public Prosecutor on behalf of the State. 2.

At this juncture, i am not at all convinced by the submissions made by Shri Dhond, learned Advocate for the applicant seeking for enlargement of the accused on bail even considering the fact that he has been in custody since the last nineteen months. Looking to the tenor of the statements of the victims in the crime, i do not find it a fit case at this juncture to order the release of the applicant on bail. It has been brought to my notice that there are in all 34 witnesses

crmab nos.76,77 & 78/2019 and from the submission of Shri Dhond, learned Advocate for the applicant, 11 do not support the case of the prosecution while 4 witnesses are the Investigating Officers and 3 Doctors who have examined the victim/accused and besides 3 more are NGOs. Looking thus to the scheme of the trial in this backdrop, it should not take the Trial Court beyond 6 months time to conclude the trial. The Trial of the case is accordingly expedited and the learned Presiding Officer of the Children's Court is directed to conclude the same within 6 months from today. Liberty is granted to the applicants to apply for bail afresh in the event the trial is not concluded by then and/or if there is any change in circumstances to apply for bail earlier.
