The Petitioners have sought to question the seniority list prepared by the Forest Department of the State of Goa in respect of the posts of Forest Guards.

The learned counsel for the Petitioners submitted that the Petitioners have made various representations and finally a legal notice
Amrut 2 WP441-18dt 17-04-2018 had to be issued as their representations have not been decided. The learned counsel for the Petitioners submitted that the seniority list is based on the marks obtained at the Forest Training School which is incorrect criteria to be adopted and is contrary to the decision of the Division Bench of this Court in Writ Petition No.104 of 2002. 3.
The learned Advocate General submitted that there does not appear to be any response given to the representations of the Petitioners and a decision in respect of the representations of the Petitioners will be taken treating the petition and annexures thereto as a comprehensive representation. The learned Advocate General states that a decision will be taken within a period of eight weeks. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of in above terms. 4.
Needless to state that in case the decision of the authorities is adverse to the Petitioners, it is open to the Petitioners to take steps as per the law.
