The applicant and the respondent were husband and wife. As they have been living in the U.S.A.; given the matrimonial discord, the respondent-wife applied for divorce before a Court in New York State and secured divorce on 7/8/2015. Later, the applicant- husband has filed this Miscellaneous Civil Application seeking the following relief: "For an order granting confirmation of foreign judgment to the applicant."

Put on notice, as the respondent is in the U.S.A, she constituted her

MCAM 590 2019 brother, living in Goa, as her Power of Attorney holder to represent her in these proceedings. In an e-mail, dated 18/3/2021, addressed to her brother, the respondent has declared that she has no objection for the confirmation of the foreign judgment. The Power of Attorney holder is present before the Court today.

It is evident, that it is the respondent that applied for and secured the divorce in the U.S.A. And now she expresses no objection for having that Judgment confirmed.

Under these circumstances, I allow this Miscellaneous Civil Application as prayed for.
