1. Though the petitioner seeks a direction for quashing of the impugned order dated 28/03/2018 passed by the respondent no. 3, to the extent that a water body/pond and a paddy field situated adjacent to each other in a property bearing survey no. 82/20 of Village Cansaulim have both been classified under "settlement" zone and a 15 mts road has been depicted as traversing through a nullah situated in survey nos. 81, 82 and 83 of village Cansaulim. However, the petitioner has already preferred a detailed representation dated 04/12/2023 and further on 16/01/2024 to correct the zoning in respect of the said pieces of land, and he is satisfied, if the same is decided within stipulated timelines.

2. Mr. Faldessai, learned Additional Government Advocate representing the Chief Town Planner, Town and Country Planning Department Panaji, Goa, on instructions, make a statement that representation preferred on 04/12/2023 by the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously and in no case later than a period of 8 weeks from today.

3. Taking the aforesaid statement on record, the present writ petition is disposed of.

4. Needless to state that liberty is left open to the petitioner to raise a further challenge, if his grievance is not redressed. NIVEDITA P. MEHTA, J.
