Learned Counsel for the respondents oppose the condonation of delay. However, no reply has been filed contesting the factual averments made in the civil application. The cause shown is indeed sufficient. In such matters, it is not the length of the delay but the quality of the cause shown that matters.

Mr. Kakodkar pointed out that even the original Claim Petition was filed almost 11 years after the accident by which time 20th October 2022
