IN THE HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY AT GOA

WRIT PETITION NO. 291 OF 2009 S. R. KAKODKAR ... Petitioner

Versus

STATE OF GOA THROUGH CHIEF SECRETARY AND 3 ORS., ... Respondents None for the Petitioner.

Mr. S. Dhargalkar, Addl. Government Advocate for Respondent Nos.1 and 2.

Mr. H. D. Naik, Advocate for Respondent No.4. Coram:- S. C. GUPTE & NUTAN D. SARDESSAI, JJ.

Date:- 4th June 2019 P.C.

None appears for the Petitioner. The Petitioner has remained absent even on earlier occasions. This Court had, in the premises, directed a notice to be issued to the Petitioner. On 10 October, 2018, when the matter was heard by this Court, a communication sent by the Petitioner to the Registry was placed on record. The communication suggested that though the notice issued by the Registry was received by the Petitioner, he could not make arrangement to represent himself. The Court, in the premises, granted a longer time to the Petitioner to engage an Advocate in the matter. The matter was accordingly stood over by a couple of months. The petition next appeared on board on

WP/291/2009 14 March, 2019, when none appeared for the Petitioner despite service of Court notice. The statement of the learned counsel for Respondent No.4 that the next date would be communicated to the Petitioner was noted. It was made clear that no further adjournment would be granted to the Petitioner.

communication to that effect was duly sent by the Respondent's Advocate to the Petitioner. Despite all these communications and orders, the Petitioner is absent even today. The petition is, in the premises, dismissed for want of prosecution.
