Heard for some time. The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions seeks permission to withdraw the petition as the petitioner has filed an application for regularization on 8/9/2016. He submits that the petitioner may be protected for a limited period till the regularization application is decided.

2. In such circumstances, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn. The Impugned order dated 1/2/2016 ordering demolition shall be kept in abeyance for a period of six weeks from today. However, in case any permission/regularization is not obtained within the above stipulated period of six weeks, the Municipal Council will be at liberty to execute the order of demolition. The competent authority shall consider the application filed by the petitioner, as expeditiously

WP/862/2016 as possible. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the application for regularization. C. V. BHADANG, J.
