Mr. Mateus Saldana appears in person. He submits that he is the Chairperson of St. Estevam Biodiversity Management Committee. He submits that he is vitally interested in the issues raised in this petition. He states that he supports the petitioners 6th July 2022

13-MCA-127-2022.DOC because according to him, the GSIDC, i.e. respondent no.2, should not proceed with the construction of the bridge. 2.

Considering the averments made in the civil application, we permit Mr. Mateus Saldana to intervene in the petition. Mr. Lobo, the learned Counsel for the petitioners has no objection to such intervention.

Further, we grant Mr. Mateus Saldana liberty to file an affidavit explaining his position on the issue. Copies of such affidavit will have to be furnished to the learned Counsel for the parties.

The petitioners to carry out necessary amendment to the cause title within one week.
