The Petitioner has sought promotion to the post of Superintendent/Sheristedar. The Petition was filed on 12 March 2009. The Petition was also referred to Lok Adalat, wherein notice was sent to the Petitioner. Inspite of notice, the Petitioner has not appeared. The office endorsement shows that the notice has been issued to the Petitioner on new address and it has been served. The endorsements dated 23 November 2015 and 7 December 2015 show that the Petitioner has also not appeared before the Lok Adalat.

The learned Additional Government Advocate points out that the Petitioner has now since superannuated. Perhaps that is the reason that the Petitioner is no longer interested in prosecuting the Petition.

The Petition is, accordingly, dismissed for nonprosecution. Rule is discharged. Prithviraj K. Chavan, J.
