Mr Vithal Naik, learned counsel for respondent no.1 - Village Panchayat of Curtorim based upon instructions from the Secretary who is present in the Court states that petitioner's complaint dated 29.09.2021 will be disposed of within eight

weeks from today. This statement is accepted and the Panchayat is directed to act accordingly.

The Town and Country Planning has already written to the Panchayat about holding a joint inspection. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, this inspection is now fixed on 04.04.2023 at 12.00 noon. The counsel for the parties agree that no further notice would be necessary for this joint inspection and parties will attend such joint inspection on the said date and time. Based upon the inspection, the Town and Country Planning Department must furnish their report to the Panchayat. The report must be furnished within a week from the date of the inspection.

The Panchayat to consider the petitioner's complaint, the report and after granting opportunity of hearing to both the petitioner as well as respondent no.5, dispose of the petitioner's complaint in accordance with law and on its own merits. The Panchayat must communicate its decision to both the parties within this period of eight weeks.

Learned Advocate General states that the Deputy Collector of Salcete will dispose of LRC/Illegal Conversion/43/2021 within

three months from today. This statement is accepted and the Deputy Collector is directed to act accordingly. 5.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms without any order for costs.
