A perusal of the order dated 27th December, 2018 impugned by the Petitioner indicates that the Inspector General of Prisons, Panaji Goa, has rejected the application for furlough filed by the Petitioner in casual manner though the family members of the Petitioner have agreed to be surety of the Petitioner. The order dated 27th December, 2018, passed by the Respondent No.1 is accordingly quashed and set aside. Respondent No.1 shall reconsider the application of the Petitioner for furlough by considering the fact that his family members have agreed to take proper care and responsibility of the Petitioner and ready to furnish a surety bond with the

WPCR/89/2019 Respondent No.1. The application of the Petitioner for furlough shall be disposed of expeditiously.

2. The petition is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
