This is an application seeking ratification of the Decree dated 11/11/2013 passed by the High Court of Justice Principal Registry of the Family Division at London in the Matrimonial Cause Proceeding No.FD12D000286.

2. The respondent has not appeared consequent to the notice served on her Caretaker. In any event, the Decree of Divorce is obtained by her as against the petitioner which is apparent from the documents at Exh-A being the Decree of Divorce placed on record.

3. Section 13 CPC is not applicable in the given facts of the case and besides considering the presumption available to the foreign judgment in terms of Section 14 CPC, the relief in terms of prayer clause (a) is granted.

4. Consequent thereto necessary directions are issued to the

MCAM/362/2014 Civil Registrar to cancel the marriage registration entry from their relevant books.
