Heard learned counsel for the appellant. The respondent is absent though served.
2. This is an application for confirmation of a decree of dissolution of marriage with a consequential relief for cancellation of the registration entry. The marriage has been dissolved by a decree which has become final and absolute on 12/1/2016. The decree is passed by the Family Court at Willesden (U.K.). A perusal of the decree shows that the marriage has been dissolved as the parties were staying separate for at least 2 years immediately preceding the presentation of the petition and by consent of parties. The ground on basis of which the marriage has been dissolved is also a ground available as per
MCAM/363/2016 the Family Laws applicable in Goa. In such circumstances, the application is allowed, as prayed. The application is disposed off. C. V. BHADANG, J.
