Heard Mr. V. Rodrigues, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. D. Pangam, learned Advocate General appears along with Mr. D. Shirodkar, learned Additional Government Advocate for Respondent Nos. 1 to 5 and Mr. A. D. Bhobe, learned counsel for Respondent No.6. 2.

The learned Advocate General points out that in this case the pension and other retiral benefits have already been paid to the Petitioner and only the issue of payment of interest on account of alleged delay remains to be sorted out. He submits that if the Petitioner is granted liberty to make a representation to the Director of Accounts, the

Director of Accounts will consider such a representation and dispose of the same in accordance with law in a time bound manner. 3.

Mr. Rodrigues, learned counsel for the Petitioner on instructions, is agreeable to adopt the afore suggested course. 4.

Mr. Rodrigues states that the Petitioner will make a detailed representation backed by case law to the Director of Accounts within a period of two weeks from today. The Director of Accounts to dispose of such representation on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of six weeks from the date of its receipt. The decision to be communicated to the Petitioner.

If the Petitioner is not satisfied with such decision, then, there shall be liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law. 6.

With the aforesaid liberty and directions, this petition is disposed of.
