Heard Ms. V. D'Silva, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.J. Pangam, learned Advocate General who appears with Mr. Suhas Parab, Additional Government Advocate for the Respondent- State. 2.

Considering the relief that we proposed to grant in this petition, notice to the remaining respondents will not be necessary. 3.

The petitioner has prayed for an appropriate writ to quash the excise license and the subsequent renewals to respondents No.5 and 6. To consider such a prayer, notice will be necessary to respondents No.5 and 6. 5th July 2022

The petitioner has further also prayed for an alternate relief to direct the respondent No. 1 to 4 to hear and decide the petitioner's complaint in the legal notice dated 21/06/2021 expeditiously. 5.

The learned Advocate General states that the competent authority will look into the petitioner's complaint and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and in any case within four weeks from today. The competent authority, in the peculiar circumstances of the present case, will afford an opportunity of hearing to both the petitioner as well as respondents No.5 or 6.

By accepting the above statement and directing the competent authority to act accordingly we dispose of this petition. All contentions of all the parties are expressly left open.
