The Petitioner has sought the following two reliefs. (a) Grant a writ of mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction, or order directing the Respondents to do all that is necessary to facilitate the activity of sand extraction by the members of the Petitioner based upon the individual permits granted to the members of the Petitioner.

Amrut 2 WP463-18dt 17-04-2018 (b) Grant a writ of mandamus or a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction, or order directing Respondents to take action against the persons illegally interfering with the Petitioner's activities of sand extraction. 2.

By bare perusal of these reliefs as prayed show complete lack of any particulars whatsoever and sweeping directions are sought. It is not possible for us to examine as to whether the Petitioner really require these reliefs as they are based on the Petitioner's own unilateral assertion that the activities carried out by the Petitioner are legal. If the Petitioner has any grievance in respect of any specific action of the Respondent-State, it is open to the Petitioner to take legal action in respect of the same. If any private individual is preventing the legitimate work done by the Petitioner, it is always open to the Petitioner to file a police complaint and take necessary steps as per law. The Petitioner appears to have made representations to the Authorities. The Authorities no doubt will look into those representations and take necessary steps as per law. 3.
