Heard Shri T. George John, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr. Mahesh Amonkar, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor appearing for the State-Respondent no. 1.

2. This is an application seeking a procedure to be followed when parole applications are filed before the concerned authorities.

3. Considering the facts of the present case, we find that it would not be justified to issue such direction in the present Petition. But, however, the authorities are reminded of the directions issued by this Court earlier to expeditiously dispose of

WPCR/74/2017 the parole application. It would be appropriate to note that the authorities have to ensure that such applications are disposed of expeditiously within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application on its own merits.

4. Petition stands disposed of.
