This is an application for extension of time to comply with the direction issued by this Court in the judgment dated 23.12.2014 whereby the applicant were directed to constitute a Scrutiny Committee in terms of the guidelines in the case of Madhuri Patil and another V/s Additional Commissioner, Tribal Development and others, reported in (1994) 6 SCC 241.

2. Mr. P. Dangui, learned Addl. Government Advocate appearing for the applicant has pointed out that for the reasons stated in the application, there was a delay in complying with such direction. We are constrained to record that we do not accept the reason which appears to be a casual approach in complying with the direction

MCA/456/2016 issued in the said judgment. The direction was to constitute a Scrutiny Committee in terms of the judgment in the case of Madhuri Patil ( supra ) and as such, we find that there was no reason to take more than one year to comply with such direction. In such circumstances, without recording anything further, we find it appropriate in the interest of justice to extend the time in complying with the direction issued in the said judgment dated 23.12.2014 as last opportunity by a period of four months from today.
