Heard Mr. Ryan Menezes, learned Counsel for the applicant.

2. The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and is sentenced to pay compensation of Rs.4,53,200/-, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of four months and also imprisonment for a period of four months.

3. Mr. Ryan Menezes, learned Counsel submits that the applicant is ready to deposit half the amount of compensation in this Court within a period of four weeks.

4. Hence, during the pendency of the appeal the sentence imposed upon the applicant is suspended. The accused be released on bail on execution of P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Deputy Registrar of this Court.

5. The application stands disposed of.
