Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State.

2. The applicant is facing prosecution for the offence punishable under Section 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, for having found in illegal possession of 0.26 grams of LSD papers, which is a commercial quantity. Admittedly, the trial has started. In such circumstances, the learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the trial may be expedited.

3. In the given circumstances, I do not find that any case for bail is made out. The Criminal Application (Bail) is accordingly dismissed. It is evident that, being a trial, in which the accused are in custody,

CRMAB/88/2016 the Special Court shall proceed with the trial as expeditiously as possible.
