The Petitioner was appointed on a contract basis to the post of Public Health Dentist in the Primary Health Centre, Bicholim after a selection process by an order dated 2nd December 2008. 2.

The contract ended on 3rd December 2016. It was not extended thereafter. The Petitioner seeks by prayer (a) that her contract be extended till regular vacancy arises. 3.

We are unable to issue this sort of mandamus for reasons that are self-evident. However, as and when a regular vacancy arises or whenever there is a proposal by the Government to execute a similar contract, the Petitioner will be at liberty to apply and her application 27th September 2017

Dr. Rashmi P. v State of Goa & Ors 928-WP606-17.doc will be considered on its merits without being influenced by her having filed this petition or by this order.

The petition is disposed of in these terms. No order as to costs.
