The application is filed for condonation of delay of 1562 days caused in filing appeal against the judgment and order of conviction. The applicant is convicted for the offence of murder

2 28 CRMA 6 OF 2021 and is sentenced to undergo life imprisonment. It is contended that he is behind the bars since the date of conviction and due to absence of financial resources he could not file the appeal. It is contended that only due to legal aid provided to him he could approach this Court. Aforesaid facts cannot be disputed. This Court hold that sufficient cause is shown, so the application is allowed and delay is condoned.

The Registry is directed to register the appeal immediately. Appeal is admitted. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the preparation of the paperbook. The appeal may be placed on board after the receipt of paperbook. Notice is hereby given in appeal to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. SMT. BHARATI H. DANGRE, J.
