Heard Mr. Lotlikar, learned Senior Advocate who appears along with Ms. Kenny for the Petitioner. Mr. R. Menezes appears for Respondent No.1 ( Panchayat).

Ordinarily, we would not have entertained such a petition which seeks execution of the order of the Deputy Collector & SDM, Panaji Goa. This is more so because the Petitioner has alternate and efficacious remedies available under the Panchayat Raj Act in case of any failure on the part of the Panchayat to discharge its duties.

However, in this peculiar case, rather than relegate the Petitioner to avail alternate remedy, we direct Respondent No.1 to execute the Deputy Collector's order dated 30.07.2019 within four weeks from today. Necessary compliance should be filed in terms of the order dated 30.07.2019 within this period of four weeks.

With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. 5.
