2. The Respondent is ex-director of Transport. It is alleged that the Respondent had not taken effective steps to implement the order made by us on 4th April, 2013 in relation to operation of tourist taxis outside the premises of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. and behind the Konkan Railway Station approached Road 5.

3. At our request, learned Advocate General appears in the matter and places on record the compilation of documents indicating that in the year 2018 about 262 cases and in the year 2019 about 143 cases of violation were noticed and necessary fine imposed upon the violators. He pointed out that in so far as the taxis referred to in this petition are concerned, the same were not actually found at the site but in any case the show cause notices have been issued to them.

4. The learned Advocate General states that necessary steps will be taken to ensure compliance of our order dated 4th April, 2013.

5. In view of the aforesaid, we see no purpose in keeping this Contempt Petition pending. This Contempt Petition is therefore disposed of.
