This Writ Petition complains of a public nuisance and health hazard. It is the case of the Petitioner that Respondent Nos.4 to 7 forcibly and illegally blocked the sewage flowing from the chambers of four residential apartments named in the petition, causing a serious health hazard. It is submitted that on account of the obstruction caused in the flow, the sewage is overflowing. It is submitted that the Petitioner made a complaint in this behalf on 08.01.2019, bringing the aforesaid facts to the notice of Respondent No.2, who is an authority under the Public Health Act, 1985 having the power and

2 WP No.479/2019 authority to abate the nuisance caused. It is the grievance of the Petitioner that despite the complaint, the same has not been considered, and no action has been taken in that behalf by the authorities.

Learned Additional Government Advocate appearing on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 and 2, states that Respondent No.2 shall look into the matter and take such corrective steps as may be needed. The petition is, accordingly disposed of, by directing Respondent No.2 to redress the Petitioner's grievance, and initiate action in terms of law, within a period of two weeks from today.
