Mr. Padiyar, learned counsel for Respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3 hands in a signed pursis which is taken on record and marked 'X' for the purpose of identification.

2. The pursis, states that the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) will initiate the process of land acquisition under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 ( the said Act ) as applicable to the State of Goa, for the purpose of construction of road at Colmorod, Navelim, Margao Goa in

CP/20/2019 respect of the lands covered under earlier declaration under Section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 issued by the Government on 20th September, 2010 as modified under Notification dated 30th May, 2012 under Section 48 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

3. We accept the statement in the pursis but direct the MMC to ensure that this process is completed as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of one year from today.

4. On the aforesaid basis, we discharge the notice in this Contempt Petition for the present.
